Great opportunity for fans of anime!
Matt Ryan, cartoonist, illustrator, teacher, and creative force behind Free Lunch Comics will be at the Henry Carter Hull Library for a series of art labs for teens. Matt specializes in cartoon illustrations, character-building and design. In this series of three workshops, Matt will help participants learn the basics of creating and drawing in the anime/manga art style. The first workshop will introduce gesture, capturing form, composition and action in the anime style  The second workshop focuses on character design! You will create characters we've never created before. The third class will focus on storytelling! We learn how to move the camera and come up with different solutions for exciting the reader!  Please register to secure your spot.
Free Full-Length SAT Practice Test and "Scores Back"SAT

Be prepared for the SAT Exam by taking a free practice exam under real timed SAT test taking circumstances. Receive an individualized printed report of results for each question along with a trend analysis. The “Scores Back” session will provide students with some helpful tips on how to best prepare for optimal performance on the SAT.  The test is administered and scored by the Princeton Review. Students may bring a calculator and snacks.  The practice test is free and open to all students grades 9 and up.  Please register at hchlibrary.org/teens.
