Rules of the Internet
- Internet users are required to sign-in with a Librarian.
- Young adults and children under age 13 need a permission
form signed by a parent or guardian before Internet access is granted.
An adult must accompany a child under age 6.
- Access to the Internet is limited to one hour per day,
including time to print and/or copy files — longer if no one is
waiting. Please plan accordingly.
- Maximum of 2 people at a workstation at a time.
- To download information, users must purchase a disk
for $1 each at the Reference Desk.
- When you are finished with your session, please click
on the home icon and leave the computer on for the next person.
The HCH Library reserves the right to terminate any
computer use or Internet session at any time. Violations of
any of the Internet Rules may lead to suspension or revocation
of Library access to internet and computers resources. Users (or parents
of users in the case of minors) who damage Library equipment (including
introducing viruses) are liable for repairs or replacement, including
charges for staff time, before privileges are reinstated.
Periodic downtime may be necessary for maintenance, technical difficulties,
or staff use.
